Schematic Design (SD) Phase
In August 2004, the Ministry of Culture has assigned the implementation of the schematic design for architecture, structure / civil and MEP of the GEM project to Heneghan Peng Architects/ Ove Arup/ Buro Happold JV (HPA/OA/BH JV), and the implementation of schematic design for museuology and exhibition to Cultural Innovations/ Metaphor (CI/M).
Schematic design works are based upon elaboration of PSD-agreed concepts in GEM architecture, landscape, structural/ civil, MEP, and exhibition design. For HPA/OA/BH JV, SD phase ends in June 2005; for CI/M, SD phase ends in October 2005.
