URGENT
Important Notification to all
Competitors of The Grand Museum of Egypt Competition
|
The Technical Committee started receiving competition entries from competitors distributed around the world. At several instances, some courier services requested additional fees from the Technical Committee upon delivery of entries in Cairo. In such situations the Technical Committee refused to receive the entries whose status accordingly remain undelivered. It is thus, the responsibility of the courier services to notify the senders of such incidences and problems.
It must be clear that the Technical Committee shall not pay any additional expenses, customs’ fees, or compensation fees to any courier services upon the delivery of the entries of competitors. If any expenses are required upon the delivery of an entry, the Committee shall not recevie such entry. In order to be certain that your entry has been delivered on time, please make all necessary arrangements with your courier service in order to avoid the occurrance of such delivery problems or/and any consequent delays. It is very important to notice that the deadline for the delivery of entries is 12:00 o’clock on the 17th of August 2002 in Cairo time. The Technical Committee shall not be held responsible for any delay caused by mailing services, or any other reasons. In the meantime, competitors will be able to learn about the delivery status of the entry, by visiting our web site www.gem.gov.eg The “Latest updates” link will prompt to “ delivery status” button. When you press “delivery of competition documents button” you will be asked to enter your identification code (6 digits and two letters of your choice). In case that your entry has been already received you will be notified by the date and time of delivery. If the entry was still not received by the Technical Committee or not yet uploaded in the database, you will get a message “your documents are not delivered yet.” In the case of undelivered entries you should check with your courier service to learn about the occurrence of any delays, problems in delivery, or otherwise to get confirmation about the delivery of the entry.
Best of Luck |
